1. Organically wait for people to post reviews.
The first strategy is the most passive approach to getting reviews, which is
waiting for the reviews to organically appear. The problem with this
strategy is that without having reviews for your book, nobody will buy them.
If nobody buys your book, then nobody is going to post a review. Get it?
On top of that, only about 1 in 1000 people will actually post a review
on a book. People are lazy and very few people that read your book will
actually make the effort to go and post a review on your book.
Unless you have a following, website, or a blog where you can promote
your book and get a ton of people to buy it, then you it’ll be difficult for you
to get people to review your book organically. One strategy that you can do
with this is to add a section in your book requesting a review. You could
ask your customers to post a review and provide a link back to your book
where they can post their thoughts with others. This can help you get more
reviews organically.
2. Get friends/family to buy your book and post reviews.
This is problem the easiest way to get reviews. You can simply send your
friends or family the link to your book, ask them to buy it for $0.99, and then
request for them to share a positive review for you. If you decide to do this,
it’s important to make sure that the reviews appear naturally.

review immediately later. Instead, you’d want them to buy the book, wait a
few days (at least 3 days), and then have them post the review. This
makes it look natural.
Be aware that KDP has some strict rules about how you obtain reviews,
and they’re always changing it. I’d recommend that you read through their
Amazon review guidelines.
You can also send your book as a gift to your friends/family, which means
that you’ll be buying your own book for $0.99 and then delivering it to them.
You can do this by clicking “Send As Gift” button on your book’s page.
Another method is to send your friend or family member a gift card for $1
and then have them use that to buy the book, which saves the money for
them.
3. Contact top reviewers on Amazon and gift them the book, asking
for a review.
One fantastic method to getting Amazon reviews is to find top reviewers on
Amazon, contact them and offer to give them the book in exchange for a
review. Amazon rewards people for writing a lot of reviews on their
website, which is why there’s some people that enjoy writing reviews for
products all day long.

4. Buy reviews.
You can also buy reviews from other people that have Amazon accounts by
paying them to download or buy it, then post a review for you. This is an
easy way to get reviews and you can get reviews for around $5, but be
aware that it’s against Amazon’s Terms and Conditions. You can get in
trouble with this, and there’s some people that report fake reviews on
Amazon, so it’s up to you whether you want to take the risk.
